Windshield heating of the 2022 C-Class petrol engine no longer works at 101111 km
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
The windshield heating of a 2022 C-Class petrol engine stopped working at 101111 km, displaying an error message indicating a restricted function. A similar issue was resolved in a 2019 E-Class by replacing defective heating wires, which was a straightforward repair. The suggested solution is to have the heating wires checked and possibly replaced, as this resolved the issue in a previous case.

Hey, thanks for your reply, that reassures me a little for now. Can you still remember what you had to pay for the repair? And have you experienced a similar fault again since then? Best regards!

Hey, sure, I still remember that. I spent about €585 to repair the broken heating wires. That may seem like a lot at first, but since then the windshield heater has been tip-top again. So, since the visit to the mechanic, this "limited function of the windshield heating" problem has been completely resolved. So don't worry, I think your gasoline engine will soon be fine again! Best regards!

Hey, thanks for the information. I have to say that the price is a bit higher than I had hoped, but if the quality is right and the problem is fixed from now on, it's worth it. Your experience is very reassuring and gives me the courage to contact the workshop. I hope they can solve the problem as well as you did. Best regards and thanks again!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my 2019 E-Class petrol engine. My heater wires were also defective. This is certainly not a fun fault, but I can tell you that it wasn't a big problem for me and the repair in the workshop was relatively straightforward. All they had to do was replace the defective heating wires and everything worked perfectly again. So don't worry - with a bit of luck it will be just as easy for you as it was for me. I wish you the best of luck!
