Hiya, Just stumbled upon your message about the wiper relay drama on your Arkana - scary stuff when the control panel lights up like a Christmas tree, right? Sounds pretty similar to what a friend of mine had with his Renault Captur. The faulty relay wasn't really a tough nut to crack, like what happened with your Scenic. Just curious, what did it cost to get the connection sorted out? My mechanic is potentially looking at something related on my car, we're still not sure. Also, have you noticed any other glitches or problems since they fixed it? They sometimes pop up when you least expect them, don't they? Cheerio!
Hey there, Yeah, sure got a kick when the control panel decided to light up like a disco! But thankfully, it all turned out much less dramatic. Regarding the costs, I had to shell out around 155 euro for the mechanic to sort out that cable connection issue. Not exactly loose change, but way less than what I initially feared given all the warning lights and codes. And to answer your other query, nope, no more annoying problems since the fix. That pesky windshield wiper relay issue got sorted out when I took the car to my mechanic. You know how it is, as soon as they start monkeying around, you half expect to start finding new faults here and there. But touch wood, everything's been A-OK since. So my advice? Don't lose sleep over it. Get your mechanic to check it out; might even turn out cheaper if you catch it early. Hope this settles some of your worries. Take it easy!
Hey there, Firstly, thanks a ton for sharing your experiences and helping me out with this wiper relay conundrum. My Arkana does seem to be channeling its inner diva with all these warning lights, but knowing that it's probably nothing too major is indeed quite reassuring! I'll get my mechanic to give that cable connection a good once over. Hope it doesn't cause a deep hole in my pocket like yours did, but 155 euro honestly sounds doable considering my initial fears. And fingers crossed, I won't have any other unexpected glitches pop up after this fix. But you're absolutely right about expecting new faults to crop up after a visit to the mechanic. I guess that's part and parcel of being a car owner, eh? Anyway, thanks again for the advice. I definitely feel a lot more at ease now. Take care and safe driving!
Hey there, I had something similar with my 2017 Renault Scenic a while back. I'm not an expert, but from my experience, it does sound like there might be an issue with the wiper relay - mine turned out to be a "Cable connection defective" fault. It was acting up much the same as yours - the wipers going rogue, lights on the dash, the whole shebang. Funny thing is, I initially thought it might be something super serious considering all the signals the car was giving me, but turned out it wasn't anything too major. The mechanic at my garage had to spend some time investigating, but eventually, he figured out that the cable connection to the relay was flawed. They took care of it by cleaning up the connection points and making sure everything was seated properly. So don't stress too much. Although a tad annoying, it's not the world-ending sort of problem divas like our cars like to make it seem. Get it checked out and hopefully, it'll be an easy fix like mine. Cheers!
