Thanks for the reply! I haven't actually checked the antenna base yet. I just assumed it was something internal. And you're right, it does seem worse on some FM stations than others. So, what exactly did you do to fix the issue with your Opel?

Following a meticulous diagnostic procedure, it was determined that the root cause of the radio reception impairment in the Opel Insignia was indeed attributable to a defective antenna. Given the similarities in symptomatology, it is my professional recommendation that you seek counsel from a certified automotive technician to perform a comprehensive evaluation of the antenna system. This will ascertain whether a replacement is required to rectify the anomaly. A replacement typically resolves such an issue. Proceed with caution.

Okay, I appreciate the detailed advice. I took it to a local shop, and you were spot on! It turns out the antenna was, in fact, defective. Replacing it cost me 255€, but the radio is working perfectly now. Thanks again for your help!

Greetings. It appears you're encountering difficulties with your Ford Windstar's radio reception. I recall a similar incident involving a 2014 Opel Insignia. The symptoms you've described, specifically the error message and the audio system malfunction, are indicative of a potential antenna defect. Have you by chance inspected the antenna base for any signs of corrosion or physical damage? Furthermore, can you confirm whether the issue is prevalent across all radio frequencies, or is it isolated to a specific FM signal?
