It's not a new purchase, so it shouldn't be in transport mode. What was your solution? I'm scratching my head here.

Well, in my case, it turned out to be a deeper electronic issue that only a workshop visit could solve. Based on the symptoms you describe, a diagnostic check at a trusted service center is highly recommended to accurately pinpoint the root cause and perform the necessary recalibrations. Don't delay this, as continued use might cause collateral damage to other onboard systems.

Thanks for the advice! I ran a diagnostic check as you suggested, and turns out it was a software glitch. A quick reset by the shop cleared the transport mode, and everything is working fine now. Repair cost: 0€!

Oh man, transport mode! I had something similar happen with my Windstar. It was driving me nuts! Was the vehicle recently purchased or has the battery been disconnected for a longer time? When this mode is active, several electronic functionalities of your vehicle might be limited to prevent excessive battery drain during shipping or storage.
