Wingroad Exhaust Flap Issue

I've got a 2012 Nissan Wingroad with a gasoline engine, and I'm having some trouble. The exhaust flaps seem to be on the fritz. I'm getting an error stored in the memory, the exhaust is louder than usual, and the engine sounds a bit noisy when it's cold. From what I've read, it's likely a defective exhaust flap. Anyone else run into this? Is it as bad as it sounds?

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, it's pretty consistent. The noise is always there, and the error pops up every time I check. When you had the issue, what exactly was the problem, and how did you fix it? Was it just the flap itself, or something else entirely?

In my case, it was indeed the exhaust flap actuator. The workshop diagnosed it quickly. I would suggest you get it professionally checked. At 247910 km, it might simply be wear and tear.
