Wingroad injection system issue

I'm having some trouble with my 2008 Nissan Wingroad, gasoline engine, with about 145k km on the clock. I think I have an injection system issue. I'm experiencing higher fuel consumption than usual, a noticeable reduction in engine power, and the engine sometimes stalls when idling. Plus, I've noticed some smoke when accelerating, especially uphill. I've checked the air filter and MAF sensor, both seem OK. I suspect a faulty sensor or fuel injector, but I don't have the tools to diagnose further. Any ideas?

I had similar symptoms with my Wingroad. Check the cable and plug connections to the fuel injectors and sensors. Seems like a loose connection can cause all sorts of havoc.

Thanks for the quick reply! Which specific sensors and injectors are you referring to? Is there a particular area I should focus on first?

The ones closest to the engine, especially the first injector. If fiddling doesn't help, just go to a workshop. They will know what to do.

Took it to a workshop as you suggested. Turns out you were right, it was a defective cable/plug connection on one of the fuel injectors. They fixed it for 95€ and now it runs perfectly. Thanks for the advice!
