Moin Moin, wow, your experience with your C3 sounds exactly like my current drama with my Berlingo. I'm totally relieved to hear that your car is running well again after the repair. My Berlingo is damn important to me and I want it to be back in shape quickly. I'm afraid I'm going to have to get ready for a major repair too. Before I throw myself into the fray, I have a question: do you remember the cost of the repair back then? And has the fuel pump module held up well since then or have there been other problems? Thanks for your support, I really appreciate it!

Moin, yes, I can well understand your grief. Your Berlingo is probably more than just a car for you, just like my C3 is for me. As for the costs, I can tell you that the repair cost me €640 at the time. Not exactly a penny, but what can you do when the car goes on strike, right? After all, there have been no further problems since the fuel pump module was replaced. I've since put the issue with the defective fuel pump behind me, i.e. it runs like clockwork. So, cheer up, buddy! Of course, it's always annoying when such repairs have to be made, but after that it's back to normal. Keep your fingers crossed and let us know how it goes! See you then!

Hey dude, thanks for your quick reply. That gives me a bit of courage. 640 euros is a lot, but I'm prepared to put up with it for my trusty Berlingo. If the fuel pump runs like yours afterwards, then it's certainly worth it. Your words really reassure me and I'm grateful for your advice. It's good to know that I'm not alone with problems like this. I will definitely keep you posted and let you know how it goes. See you next time!

Hi buddy, I once had a similar problem with my 2014 Citroen C3. I had the same symptom back then, black smoke coming out of the exhaust and the engine was constantly stalling, especially at idle. In my case, it was actually the fuel pump module that gave up the ghost. Such a defect is of course no small matter, it was really annoying. My car ran like clockwork again afterwards, but the repair was a real feat of strength. In the end, they had to replace the whole module in the workshop. So if you have similar symptoms to mine at the time, it could very well be that the fuel pump module is also defective. It really wasn't a walk in the park, but what the heck, these things happen. All's well that ends well. Good luck and keep me posted!
