WRV brake light failure error message

I'm getting an error message and brake light failure on my 2021 Honda WRV diesel (175254 km). Error is stored in memory too. Could it be a faulty brake light switch?

Hey, I had something similar happen in my WRV. Was the error intermittent at first, then became more constant? Check if the brake pedal feels strange before the error lights up. It could be a sticky switch.

Basically, the switch might not be fully releasing when you take your foot off the brake. In my case, it turned out to be a faulty brake light switch, even though the pedal felt fine. I'd still advise getting it checked by a workshop, just to be sure.
