Thanks for your reply. I appreciate the suggestion. Now that you mention it, there's a slight vibration at idle, almost unnoticeable. And yes, there is definitely some kind of noise... How did you manage to fix it? Can you share more details about your experience?

In my case, it turned out to be more complex than initially anticipated. Honestly, I would recommend taking your WRV to a workshop. These symptoms could indicate several underlying issues, and without the proper tools, you won't be able to diagnose the error. It's better to have a professional look at it and avoid potential damage.

Thanks again. I appreciate the advice. It turned out you were right! The garage found the consequential error without too much effort. The repair didn't cost me anything, as it was a simple software reinstallation to get rid of the underlying error!

I also own a WRV with a diesel engine and faced similar symptoms some time ago. Cylinder pressure fluctuation can be a real headache. In my case, the higher fuel consumption, reduced power, and check engine light were all pointing to a consequential error resulting from another error. Have you checked for any other unusual noises or vibrations? Is the engine idling smoothly, or is it rough? It would be a good starting point to eliminate any obvious problems.
