X Klasse brake system error resolved

I had a similar issue in my X Klasse. The dash lit up and the brakes felt spongy. Have you done any recent work on the brake lines, like replacing the pads? The pressure sensor might be bad, but I'd investigate the reason for it.

Thanks. I haven't done any brake line or pad maintenance recently. Could a failing ABS contribute to this pressure sensor failure, or is it more likely just a faulty brake booster?

I'm not an expert, but when mine failed, the ABS showed different codes. If it's only the booster pressure sensor, it's probably just that. Still, check everything. Weak brakes mean a workshop visit ASAP.

I took it to a mechanic. It was the brake booster pressure sensor, likely from incorrect bleeding during a prior service, as suspected. Replacement and recalibration cost 90€. Vehicle safety is back.
