I only have one electronic key. What battery does the Skoda key fob use? The symptoms you describe, like range issues, sound familiar.

Mine used a CR2032, a pretty common type. The symptoms were the same: intermittent locking/unlocking and keyless entry failure. Replacing the battery fixed everything. If you're getting error messages and both keyless go and remote locking are failing, the key battery is likely the problem. I'd suggest visiting a dealer to get it checked.

Thanks for confirming. I replaced the key battery with a new one (cost: 37€). The problem is solved. All functions are working again, and the error message is gone. I appreciate the advice.

I had a similar issue with my old Skoda Octavia. The key fob started acting up, and the range became very short. I initially suspected electronic interference or a failing car battery. Have you tried the spare key or replacing the key battery?
