Thank you for your reply. I have checked the window switches and wiring harnesses within the door panel, but I did not find any visible damage or loose connections. Regarding the battery disconnection, I followed the procedure outlined in the service manual. Could you elaborate on the specific electrical work you had done that led to your similar issue?

Yeah, my problem was a bit different - I had an aftermarket alarm installed, and it messed with the car's electrics. Since you followed the correct procedure and checked the obvious stuff, it might be more complex than just a loose wire. Honestly, at this point, I'd recommend taking it to a Volvo workshop to get it properly diagnosed. It could save you a lot of time and frustration!

Thank you for sharing your experience and advice. Based on your recommendation, I took the vehicle to an authorized Volvo workshop. They confirmed the window regulator initialization failure and performed the necessary reset and recalibration. The total repair cost was 290€. Your suggestion to seek professional diagnosis was indeed valuable.

Hey! I had a similar problem with my XC40's windows after some electrical work. Have you tried checking the window switch and the wiring in the door panel? Sometimes, it's a simple connection issue. Also, did you disconnect the battery properly? Maybe something got scrambled during the process. Hope this helps!
