XC40 Multifunction Steering Wheel Error

Anyone seen this? My 2011 Volvo XC40 (gasoline) with 73k on the clock is throwing a multifunction steering wheel error. Basically, it's dead – no controls work, and the error's logged in the memory. Suspect it's a cable issue inside the wheel itself.

Dude, I had something similar in my XC40! Super annoying. Did all the buttons just stop at once?

Sounds exactly like what happened to me. I messed around with it a bit but eventually took it to a shop. They said it was a dodgy connection in the steering wheel and sorted it out pretty quickly, thankfully.
