XC40 NOx Sensor Cable Issue

Hi, my 2019 Volvo XC40 hybrid is showing a check engine light. I've got 205508 km on the clock. The error memory mentions a NOx sensor issue, and I think I can smell exhaust fumes. Could a defective cable or plug be the culprit?

Honestly, I don't remember the exact details. I just took it to the workshop and they sorted it out. It could be your sensor's cable too.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I'll take it to the workshop. Turns out it was a defective NOx sensor cable. Cost me 95€ to fix.
