XC40 Sun Blind Failure

Anyone else had issues with the sun blind on their Volvo XC40? Mine is a 2021 electric model with 217816 km on the clock. The sunblind simply won't retract or extend anymore. It's stuck fast. Checked the error memory and there's a fault logged. Seems like the motor's packed in.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar hassle with my XC40 sun blind. Does it make a weird clicking noise, like a dying printer struggling to feed paper?

No clicking, just completely dead. Did you manage to fix yours yourself?

Nah, I'm no mechanic. Just thought I’d check for similar symptoms. My issue was def the motor. Ended up taking it to a workshop. Best to get it checked by pros.

Thanks for the heads up! Booked it in at my local service center. Turns out the motor was indeed defective. Cost me 330€ to replace but at least I got it fixed
