XC40 Tire Pressure Warning ABS and Steering Issues

My 2023 XC40 electric is throwing a low tire pressure warning. At 196628 km, the ABS lamp is on, the steering wheel shakes, and the power steering feels off. I've checked the pressures, filled them, but the warning persists. What could be causing this? Is the tire monitoring system malfunctioning or is there a puncture?

I have an XC40 too! I had something similar happen last year. Did you check your tire sensors? Mine gave false readings even though the tire pressure was fine.

False readings even when the pressure was correct? So, everything seemed fine with the tire itself? No obvious damage, slow leak, anything like that?

Exactly! Tires looked perfect. I even checked for nails, but nothing. The workshop confirmed it was a faulty valve in the tire sensor, messing with the tire monitoring system. It's worth getting checked.

Thanks! Sounds like a trip to the workshop is in order. They said it was indeed the front-left sensor valve that was defect. 280€ later, my XC40 is back on the road and steering great! That tire monitoring system is a lifesaver… until it isn’t, haha.
