XC60 AC failure
Summary of the thread
The 2014 Volvo XC60 diesel's AC system failed at 167,546 km, with no cooling and uncertainty about the system's activation. Initial checks of the fuses were inconclusive. Suggestions included examining the AC relay, blower motor, and pressure switch. Ultimately, a workshop diagnosis revealed a faulty valve in the air conditioning system, which was repaired to restore functionality.

Thanks! Where is the AC relay located, and how would I know if the pressure switch is the culprit? I'm not hearing any weird AC noise, so I don't think it's the blower motor.

I'm not sure about the exact location of the relay. It is best to have the system checked by a workshop. In my case, the diagnosis showed a defect in the individual valves in the air conditioning system.

Appreciate the info! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Turns out it was a faulty valve. Cost me around 1000€ to get it fixed, but at least it's blowing cold air again.

I had a similar problem with my XC60's AC. Have you checked the AC relay or the blower motor? Sometimes a faulty pressure switch can also cause the system to fail.
