XC60 Audio System Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Volvo XC60 owner is experiencing a complete audio system failure, with no sound output and an error stored in the system's memory. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the display unit, which was confirmed as the cause by a workshop. The suggested solution is to have the display unit checked and potentially replaced by professionals.

I haven't dug into the wiring harness yet; was hoping it was something simpler. But you're saying yours behaved similarly before dying altogether? Was it definitely the head unit then?

Yeah, sounds very familiar. Mine was the display unit itself that died. The workshop confirmed it. Save yourself the hassle and let them check it. They quoted me 725€ including labor to replace it so they are usually the culprits.

That's what I was afraid of. Thanks for confirming my suspicions. Looks like a trip to the shop is in order. I will post again when it's fixed!

XC60 here, had something similar. Audio cut out completely, and the system acted strangely beforehand. Bluetooth crapped out, sometimes even the parking sensors went silent. Did you check the wiring?
