Yes, the symptoms and error descriptions correlate with what I experienced. Given your description and lack of technical expertise, I'd advise against attempting any repairs yourself. A defective cable connection to the BUS system on the control unit seems the most likely cause. I took mine to a workshop. The repair bill was around 155€.
