XC60 Electrical Malfunction and Navigation Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Volvo XC60 is experiencing a general electrical malfunction and a non-functional navigation system, with diagnostic codes indicating an implausible control unit programming. The issue appears to be a software glitch, and a software recalibration is suggested as a potential solution. A similar problem was resolved by a full software recalibration at a workshop, indicating that professional intervention is likely necessary.

No, nothing like that. Just started happening out of the blue one morning. Everything was fine the night before. Could a software reset solve this?

From my experience, it does sound a lot like the issue I had. While a reset might help, it didn't do much for me. The workshop ended up doing a full software recalibration of the control unit. I think you're on the right track, and unfortunately, a trip to the shop is probably necessary.

Thanks for the info! I appreciate you sharing your experience. Looks like I'll be booking it in for the software recalibration. Fingers crossed that solves it!

Interesting. I've got an XC60, though I haven't had exactly the same issues. I did have some weird electrical gremlins a while back, along with error messages. Did it start happening after any specific event, like a battery replacement or a service?
