Sorry to hear about the GPS issue. Signal interference can be a sneaky culprit. Before assuming it's the antenna, have you checked for anything inside the car obstructing the GPS signal? Dashboard cameras or phone mounts close to the windshield could interfere. If there's nothing obvious, it might be a defective GPS antenna, as you suspect.

Thanks, I checked for obstructions on the dashboard, but found nothing. Is there an easy way to further confirm a faulty GPS antenna before I bring it in for service? I'm not very familiar with car electronics.

Given that you've eliminated obstructions, it sounds like the GPS antenna is the likely culprit. Unfortunately, without specialized equipment, confirming it definitively can be difficult. Visiting a qualified workshop is the most sensible course of action. They will likely confirm the defect and should be able to replace the antenna. I was quoted around 200€ for the antenna replacement.

I appreciate the advice. I will schedule an appointment with a workshop to have the GPS antenna inspected and likely replaced. Thanks again for your help and insight!
