XC60 massage seat failure
Summary of the thread
The massage function on a 2018 Volvo XC60 stopped working, displaying an error. The issue was suspected to be related to the power supply, such as a fuse or cable connection. After checking, it was confirmed to be a defective cable/plug connection, which was resolved at a workshop.

Thanks for the tip! So, where exactly should I be looking for this cable/plug connection? Is it easily accessible, or am I going to need to start dismantling half the seat?

In my case, the connection was under the seat, but fiddly to get to. Given your car also stores an error, and it's a relatively sophisticated system, I'd suggest a workshop visit. They can pinpoint the fault and prevent further issues.

Thanks, I took it to the workshop and it was indeed a defective cable/plug connection like the error suggested. They fixed it for 95€, so all good now!

Interesting. I had a similar issue with the lumbar support in my old BMW 5 series. Massage seats are like a fancy faucet – when they don't work, sometimes it's the power supply (power/connection) not the seat mechanism. Worth checking the power supply before diving too deep. Did you check the cable or plug connection?
