XC60 Overheating Electric Fan

My 2010 Volvo XC60 with a gasoline engine is overheating at 145131 km. I suspect the electric fan, maybe a bad cable or plug. Any ideas?

Overheating is never fun! Sounds like my old Renault Megane. It was a dodgy connection to the fan motor. Have you checked the fuses? Sometimes it's a simple fix.

Thanks! Where is the fuse you're talking about? Did your Renault have any other symptoms?

The fuse box was under the hood, near the battery. The diagram should label the fan. I didn't have other symptoms, but I'd suggest a workshop to check for defects, just in case.

It was a defective connection, like I thought. The repair cost 95€. Thanks for the help!
