XC60 Washer Fluid Low Warning

I've had a similar issue with my XC60. Does the pump make any noise when you try to use the washers?

No, the pump is silent. I thought the pump might be faulty, but with the warning light, I guessed that it might be linked somehow, like the car thinks that there isn't enough wiper water, so it shut down the pump until it is refilled.

Okay, that sounds exactly like what happened to mine. I was hoping it was just a fuse, but it ended up being a faulty level sensor in the reservoir that was causing the system to shut down. I would recommend getting it checked out by a professional because messing with those systems can throw even more errors.

Thanks for the info. I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on - it was the level sensor. Replaced it for 25€ and now it's working perfectly again.
