XC60 Windshield Washer Heater Faulty
Summary of the thread
The windshield washer heater in a 2018 Volvo XC60 is faulty, causing error messages and frozen spray nozzles. Initial checks confirmed the washer fluid level was adequate, and cleaning the nozzles did not resolve the issue. Suggestions included checking the fuse box for a blown fuse and inspecting for physical blockages. Ultimately, the problem was identified as a defective cable, which was repaired at a workshop.

Where exactly is the fuse box located, and which fuse is for the washer motor? I'm not really familiar with the car's layout. And I already tried cleaning the nozzles, didn't fix it.

Okay, if cleaning the nozzles didn't work, and you've got an error message, it's likely not just a blockage. Given you've checked the basics, it might be a defective cable or plug connection as the source of the problem. You can try to follow the cable, but honestly? I think it's better to just take it to a workshop.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I took it to a shop; turns out it was a defective cable. They fixed it for 95€.

Hey! Sounds like a pain, especially in winter. Have you checked the fuse box? Maybe the fuse for the windshield washer motor blew? It's a pretty simple thing to check before you dive into anything more complicated. Also, are the nozzles themselves physically blocked? Sometimes they get clogged with debris. Try using a needle to clear them.
