Thanks for the quick reply. I did check the connections, but everything seemed fine. The diagnostic scan does indicate a defective control unit, but I wanted to see if anyone else had this issue before I commit to replacing it.

Thanks for confirming. I appreciate the help. I took it to the workshop as suggested, and it turned out the lateral acceleration sensor control unit was indeed defective and was replaced, costing around 1000€. All good now.

I had a similar issue on my XC70. The error code pointed to a faulty lateral acceleration sensor. Have you checked the connections to the sensor and the control unit? A diagnostic scan should confirm if the electronic control unit is defective.
