Thanks! I did check the fuses – all seem fine. Wiggling the connectors is next. Which connector specifically gave you trouble? Any tips on getting to it without dismantling the dashboard?

If fuses are good, then it's likely a dodgy connection. For me, it was the main connector block going into the adjustment motor itself. It's a bit fiddly to get to, but you should be able to access it by removing the lower steering column cover. Be gentle when you're wiggling things. If you're not comfortable, a quick trip to a shop might save you a headache. I ended up going, and they sorted it quickly.

Appreciate the insight! Gave the connectors a wiggle, no luck. Took it to my local shop. Turns out it was a corroded connector, just like you suspected. Cleaned it up, and all is working. Cost me 95€, which I'm happy with!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my XC70. The error code pointed towards the steering column motor, but it turned out to be simpler. Did you check the fuses related to the power steering and the adjustment motor? Have you tried wiggling the connectors under the steering column to see if that makes any difference?
