XC70 Mirror Heating Issue

Experiencing an issue with my 2013 Volvo XC70 diesel. The mirror heating is non-functional. Diagnostic check reveals an error stored in the memory. Preliminary investigation points to a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone encountered this before?

Hey there! I had a similar problem with my Opel Astra, but it wasn't the cable. After a bit of fiddling, it turned out to be a dodgy thermostat. Did you check that? It might not be the exact same, but the temperature control circuits can be weird.

Interesting. The thermostat impacting the mirror heating circuit? Could you elaborate on the diagnostic process you followed to identify the thermostat as the root cause? I'm curious about the diagnostic steps.

Well, I'm no expert. My mechanic tracked it down, I just know he mentioned something about the thermostat sending weird signals that messed with other circuits. Honestly, I'd get a workshop to check the Volvo too, could save you headaches.

Appreciate the insight! I followed your suggestion and took it to a trusted shop. As suspected, a corroded connector was the culprit. Repair cost was 95€. Thanks again for the help!
