XC70 Power Loss

Anyone else experienced power loss on a 2008 Volvo XC70 with a gasoline engine? Only 56107 km on the clock. Getting 'reduced engine power' warnings and a stored error code. Suspect it might be related to some dodgy chip tuning the previous owner had done. Anyone seen this before?
