XC70 Water Sensor Issue

A 'water sensor' detects water, like in the fuel filter. The error message hints at a fault in the sensor's electric circuit. Worth a closer look.

Yeah, in my case, it was the connector right on the sensor. Hard to see at first, but there was a lot of corrosion. Cleaning it helped for a bit, but the problem came back. I ended up taking it to a shop to fix it properly. I'd suggest you do the same.

Thanks so much for the advice! I checked the connector more closely and found corrosion too. I took it to my mechanic, and the water sensor cable was indeed bad. They replaced it, and the repair was 95€. The check engine light is off, and it runs smoothly again. Thanks again!
