XC90 ABS Fault

I've got a 2002 Volvo XC90 diesel with 78424 km on the clock, and I'm seeing a speed signal fault. The ABS lamp lights up, and I'm experiencing traction problems and ABS failure. Suspect a defective control unit. Anyone else seen this?

I had similar ABS and traction issues with my XC90. Have you checked the ABS sensors and wiring? Could be a faulty connection somewhere.

Thanks, I've already checked the ABS sensors and wiring. All seems fine there. Was your issue definitely a control unit problem, and do you know which one? Trying to narrow it down.

Yup, it was the ABS control unit. Honestly, diagnosis was a pain. Unless you have VIDA/DICE, I'd suggest getting it properly scanned. Saved me a headache in the long run. Workshop is probably your best bet.

Appreciate the insight. Confirmed with a scan; it's the ABS control unit as suspected. Quoted 1000€ for the repair. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
