XC90 brake pedal feedback
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Volvo XC90 hybrid owner experienced strange feedback from the brake pedal, suspecting issues with the hydraulic brake system or brake calipers, possibly due to undervoltage. After consulting with another hybrid car owner who had similar issues, it was suggested to check the brake system professionally. The problem was confirmed to be undervoltage, leading to premature brake pad wear, which was resolved by replacing the pads.

Interesting that you mention the electrical system. What kind of changes did you see in your Renault Megane? And how did it relate to the brake pedal feedback?

I primarily noticed some flickering in the interior lights and occasional error messages on the dashboard related to the battery. This occurred only intermittently. I would recommend having the brake system checked by a professional, especially given the complexity of hybrid braking systems.

Thanks for sharing. I took it to a certified workshop, and it turned out to be undervoltage, causing premature wear of the brake pads. Replacement cost was 240€. Your input was helpful!

I can relate. I encountered a similar issue with my 2018 Renault Megane, also a hybrid. The strange feedback from the brake pedal was unnerving. Have you noticed any changes in the car's electrical system performance?
