XC90 brake pedal feedback

I'm getting strange feedback from the brake pedal in my 2017 Volvo XC90 hybrid (63350 km). The system feels like its metal brakes are grinding, but the pads look fine. Could this be related to the hydraulic brake system or the brake calipers? I suspect some undervoltage.

I can relate. I encountered a similar issue with my 2018 Renault Megane, also a hybrid. The strange feedback from the brake pedal was unnerving. Have you noticed any changes in the car's electrical system performance?

Interesting that you mention the electrical system. What kind of changes did you see in your Renault Megane? And how did it relate to the brake pedal feedback?

I primarily noticed some flickering in the interior lights and occasional error messages on the dashboard related to the battery. This occurred only intermittently. I would recommend having the brake system checked by a professional, especially given the complexity of hybrid braking systems.

Thanks for sharing. I took it to a certified workshop, and it turned out to be undervoltage, causing premature wear of the brake pads. Replacement cost was 240€. Your input was helpful!
