XC90 Central Locking Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Volvo XC90 diesel is experiencing a central locking system failure, where none of the doors lock or unlock, and an error is stored. The issue is unlikely to be related to the key fob batteries, as they have been replaced without resolving the problem. A similar case was resolved by inspecting and repairing defective cable or plug connections, suggesting that a workshop visit for a detailed inspection might be necessary.

I replaced the batteries in both key fobs, but that didn't fix it. The problem may be in the vehicle itself. Did you have to address the locking mechanism after checking the key fob?

Yeah, tried the fob thing too. Sadly, it ended up needing a look at the workshop, they traced it to a defective cable/plug connection. Definitely sounds like your issue. Might be worth a visit.

Appreciate the insight. I'll schedule a workshop visit to inspect the cable and plug connections. The estimated repair cost is 95€.

I've got an XC90 and had something similar. It started intermittent then died. Did you check the key fob batteries? It's a long shot, but easy to rule out.
