XC90 Engine Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Volvo XC90 hybrid with 150,000 km is experiencing engine stalling at idle and a check engine light. The suspected cause is a faulty tank ventilation valve, potentially due to clogged hoses. After taking the vehicle to a shop, it was confirmed that the issue was indeed clogged hoses connected to the tank ventilation valve, which were then repaired.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Interesting. When you say hoses, are you talking about the ones directly connected to the valve itself, or further down the line? Was it obvious they were clogged, or did you have to dig around to find the problem?

Yeah, the ones right at the valve. Hard to see at first, but once I disconnected them, it was clear as day. Honestly, unless you're super comfortable wrenching, I'd get it to a shop. Could be other things, but clogged hoses on the ventilation system were definitely my issue.

Took it to the shop, and they confirmed it was the tank ventilation valve, specifically clogged hoses. Repair cost me around 175€ Thanks for the insight!

That sounds eerily similar to what happened with my old Audi A4 – different car, I know. But, same symptoms: check engine light, rough idling. Did you happen to check the hoses connected to the tank ventilation valve? Those were clogged in my case, throwing off the pressure sensor.
