XC90 faulty temperature sensor
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Volvo XC90 hybrid was experiencing issues with the outside temperature sensor, leading to an error message, non-functional AC, freezing spray nozzles, and non-working mirror heating. The problems were suspected to be related to either a faulty sensor or a wiring issue. After professional inspection, the cause was identified as a corroded connector on the temperature sensor, which was cleaned and replaced, resolving the issues.

I did check the fuses, they seem fine. And yes, all the symptoms started around the same time. Do you think it's likely the sensor itself, or perhaps a wiring issue as I've heard?

Given that the fuses are in good order and the problems manifested simultaneously, I'd suggest you consider a defective sensor or a wiring issue. It sounds like professional attention is warranted. Have you considered consulting with a qualified technician at a reputable workshop?

I appreciate the input. I took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be a corroded connector on the temperature sensor. They cleaned it and replaced the connector, and everything's working perfectly now. Cost me 95€. Thanks again for your help!

That does sound perplexing. Could it be a fuse perhaps? I'm not mechanically inclined, but have you checked the relevant fuses? Did all these issues begin concurrently?
