XC90 Smartphone Connection Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Volvo XC90 owner experienced smartphone connection issues, with function restrictions and a stored error, likely due to incorrect pairing. Despite attempts to resolve it through Bluetooth settings and a factory reset, the problem persisted. A similar case was resolved by a dealer addressing a software glitch, leading to the suggestion of visiting a workshop. The issue was ultimately fixed with a software refresh.

The vehicle is no longer under warranty. I've checked the Bluetooth settings and tried a factory reset, without success. Were your symptoms identical, specifically the stored error memory?

Yes, exactly the same. In my case, it turned out to be a software glitch that the dealer needed to sort out. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop; they'll likely be able to diagnose it properly.

Thank you for confirming the similarity. I followed your advice and took it to a workshop. The issue was resolved with a software refresh, costing 45€.

I have an XC90 too, and I had similar problems. It drove me nuts! Is it still under warranty? Have you checked the bluetooth settings or tried a factory reset on the entertainment system?
