XC90 Tire Pressure Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Volvo XC90 owner experienced a 'Tire pressure too low' warning and a sensor fault error. The issue was likely due to a faulty tire pressure monitoring sensor, possibly with a dead battery. The suggested solution was to replace the sensor and reset the TPMS at a workshop, which resolved the problem.

And what was the resolution? Did you simply replace the sensor, or was there more to it?

Just replaced the sensor. It's like replacing a light bulb, but instead of light, it sends radio signals. You can do it yourself, but you'll need a workshop to reset the TPMS. My advice: drive to your mechanic and have them replace the faulty sensor and reset the TPMS with a diagnostic device.

Understood. I had the sensor replaced at my local workshop. The repair cost 280€, which included a new sensor and recalibration. Everything appears to be functioning normally now.

That sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old BMW 3 Series. Same symptoms – constant low tire pressure warning, even when the tires were properly inflated. It turned out to be a failing TPMS sensor.
