XC90 Windshield Wipers Suddenly Stopped

Hi, I've got a 2020 Volvo XC90 diesel with about 29k km on the clock and my windshield wipers have suddenly stopped working. I've checked the stalk, tried all the settings including the rain sensor, but nothing. No wiper blade movement at all. I also hooked it up to a diagnostic tool and it's throwing an error code related to the wiper system. I was thinking maybe the wiper motor is dead, or related to cruise control, but what do you guys think?

Sounds like a bad connection. Have you checked the wiring and plugs going to the wiper motor and the wiper switch itself? Could be a loose or corroded connector.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't had a chance to dig that deep yet. Do you know if there are any common spots where the wiring might be problematic? Any specific plug connection I should check first?

Without a proper look, it's hard to say for sure. The error code points to a faulty cable or plug, so your best bet is to take it to a workshop. My guess is that you will be looking at around 95€ for the repair.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I took it to the shop like you suggested, and it turned out to be a faulty connector, just like you said. They replaced it, and everything is working fine now. I appreciate the help!
