XRV auxiliary heater issue
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Honda XRV owner is experiencing an issue with the auxiliary heater, which cannot be activated and has an error stored in the memory. The suspected cause is a defective glow plug. A suggestion is made to take the vehicle to a workshop for a proper diagnosis, as a similar issue was resolved previously with a glow plug replacement.

Thanks for the quick reply. The climate control seemed to be working normally before the auxiliary heater stopped functioning. No strange noises or anything unusual. Just suddenly stopped. Any further insight would be appreciated.

Given that information, my experience points towards a faulty glow plug as you initially suspected. While it could be something else, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop for a proper diagnosis. I ended up paying around 440€ for the repair back then.

Thanks for the advice. I'll take it to a workshop to get it checked out. The 440€ gives me an idea of what to expect. I appreciate your help!

Greetings. I own a Honda XRV as well, though a slightly older model. I recall a similar issue with my parking heater a while back. Was the climate control behaving strangely beforehand, or did it just stop working abruptly?
