XRV Radar Sensor Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Honda XRV owner experienced issues with the radar sensor, resulting in error messages and system failures. The problem was suspected to be related to radar calibration or a deeper issue with the safety systems. A suggestion to check for dirt on the sensor was provided, as road grime can interfere with its function. After cleaning the sensor, the systems returned to normal, resolving the issue.

Thanks for your swift answer. Can you tell me where your radar sensor is located, so I can examine it. Also, what kind of errors did you have?

The radar sensor is behind the front grill, in the middle. I had similar errors as you, regarding the adaptive cruise control and pre-collision system. If cleaning does not help, the sensor might need professional calibration. Check the wiring harness for corrosion, but a workshop visit might be unavoidable.

Thanks for the insights. Indeed, it was a dirty sensor. After cleaning, the systems went back to normal, and the error messages disappeared. The workshop charged 45€.

I had a similar issue with my XRV; adaptive cruise stopped working and I got some weird errors. Have you checked if the sensor is dirty? Road grime can sometimes interfere with the radar.
