Xsara error messages and fault codes

Hi, I've got a weird one with my 2006 Citroen Xsara diesel. Keep getting error messages popping up on the main infotainment screen and in the speedometer display. My OBD-II scanner is throwing up a fault code. I've cleared the codes a couple of times, but they keep coming back. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my Xsara a while back. Was it something about incorrect coding by any chance? The malfunction indicator kept lighting up, and it was driving me nuts.

Incorrect coding, eh? Interesting. How did you figure that out? What exactly was coded wrong, and what did you do to fix it? I'm trying to avoid just throwing parts at it and hoping something sticks.

Well, I'm no expert, but the scan tool pointed towards some kind of coding issue. Couldn't figure it out myself, so ended up taking it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quick and reset the codes.
