Xsara Power Window Failure

I checked the wiring harness with a multimeter and found no breaks. There were no unusual noises from the motor before it stopped. Does the error memory point to a more specific area to check?

The error code might be too generic without more testing. Since the harness is good and there were no motor noises, a bad switch is likely. But I'd suggest a workshop visit to rule out a faulty Body Control Module output. Be careful.

I took it to a technician. It was a defective power window switch. Replacement cost 200€. Everything works now. Thanks for the help.

Faulty window regulators are common, especially at that mileage. Have you checked the wiring harness to the door? A break can seem like a switch failure. Any weird noises from the regulator motor before it died?
