XTrail exhaust flap issue

Hi, I've got a 2022 Nissan XTrail hybrid with about 58k km on the clock. I'm getting an error stored in the memory, the exhaust is louder than usual, and the engine is running noisy after a cold start. I suspect it's the exhaust flaps. Anyone else had this?

Hey! I've got a Nissan XTrail too, though not sure what year. I had similar symptoms a while back. Loud exhaust, especially on startup, and a noticeable drop in engine performance. Turned out to be the exhaust flap actuator. Check those exhaust components!

Well, I initially suspected a leak, but the error codes pointed towards the exhaust flap. Honestly, after a quick look, I decided not to mess with it myself. Exhaust repair can be tricky. I took it to a workshop. They confirmed the flap was defective.

Thanks for the info! I had it checked out, and you were right. Defective exhaust flap. Cost me 190€ to repair.
