XTrail Height Control Problems

My 2001 Nissan XTrail diesel has height control issues. Warning light on, low beam angle is off, and the front axle seems misaligned. Diagnostic check showed an error. Ride's bumpy. Could it be a defective control rod on the sensor? Anyone seen this?

Interesting. I had a similar issue with my XTrail. Is the leveling system acting erratically, causing the headlights to adjust unnecessarily or failing to maintain a consistent vehicle height? Did you check the leveling sensor or the control module? Perhaps a faulty connection or damaged wiring could be the culprit.

Thanks. When you say similar, do you mean the warning lights and uneven height exactly? And did you check the load sensor for issues with the control module itself?

Yes, all the symptoms you described were identical to what I experienced. Given the error code and the bumpy ride, it's highly probable that the control rod is indeed the issue or the leveling sensor is malfunctioning. I suggest consulting a workshop for professional diagnostics. They'll have the tools to pinpoint the problem. I ended up paying around 110€ for a similar fix.

Thanks for confirming. A faulty control rod on the leveling sensor makes perfect sense now, considering the symptoms and error code. I'll schedule a workshop appointment. Your insights have been invaluable!
