The temperature reading seems normal, actually. Where was the defective connection on your Corsa exactly? Maybe it's a similar issue.

On the Corsa it was just a corroded plug, easy fix. But if your temp gauge is fine, and it's the oil pressure light, it's probably best to have a shop check the sensor and wiring. Oil pressure problems are scary!

You are absolutely right. Took your advice and went straight to the workshop. Turns out it was indeed a defective cable or plug connection of the oil temperature sensor. Repair cost was 95€. Thanks for the insight!

Sounds familiar! I had similar symptoms with my old Opel Corsa, but it was the coolant temp sensor acting up. Is the temperature reading on your dash off too? Could be a bad connection somewhere.
