XTrail Tire Pressure Sensor Fault

Hi, I'm having a tire pressure sensor fault with my 2022 Nissan XTrail Hybrid. It has 160908 km on it. The display shows 'Tire pressure too low' and there's an error message. Diagnostic scans confirm the error. Has anyone else had this issue with their XTrail?

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Nissan XTrail Hybrid displayed a 'Tire pressure too low' error due to a tire pressure sensor fault. Diagnostic scans confirmed the issue with a single sensor. The likely cause was identified as a dead sensor battery, given the vehicle's mileage and age. Replacing the faulty sensor resolved the issue, clearing the error message and restoring the system's functionality.

Sounds like classic TPMS. Have you checked the tire pressures with a gauge to rule out a real flat or slow leak? Are all four sensors throwing errors, or just one?

Thanks. Yes, the tire pressures are fine. The diagnostic information suggests a fault with a single sensor. They are the original sensors, so the battery life could be the issue.

Given the mileage and age, and the fact it's only one sensor, an empty battery is likely. It's probably time to visit a workshop and get it replaced. Be sure they use a compatible sensor.

Thanks for the advice. I visited a workshop, and they confirmed the sensor battery was dead. The sensor replacement cost X€280, including labor. The error has been cleared, and the system is working now. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
