Yaris Driver Side Seat Heater Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Toyota Yaris Hybrid's driver's side seat heater stopped working, with an OBD scanner showing an error code related to the seat heating system. The passenger side heater still functions, suggesting the issue is isolated. A similar case revealed that a defective heating mat in the seat cushion was the cause. The recommended solution is to have the heating mat checked and potentially replaced by a professional, which resolved the issue for another owner.

Thanks for getting back to me! The passenger side seat heater still works perfectly, so it seems isolated to the driver's side. Any idea what it was in your case? Anything specific I should be looking for?

In my case, the workshop confirmed that the heating mat in the seat cushion was defective. Since the passenger side still works I would recommend checking the driver side in a workshop.

Okay, thanks a lot for the insight! I took it to my local mechanic, and it turns out the seat heating mat was indeed the issue, just like you suspected. Ended up costing me around 390€ to get it replaced. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my Yaris seat heater last winter. Does the passenger side seat heater work?
