Yaris electronic parking brake issue

Hi, I have a 2000 Toyota Yaris with a gasoline engine. The electronic parking brake is not working. The error is stored in the error memory and the warning light is on. Mileage is at 61384 km. Has anyone experienced similar issues?

I've seen similar problems on Yaris models. Check the electric motor in the brake calliper. Is the error consistent or intermittent?

I initially tried troubleshooting myself, but eventually took it to a workshop. Turned out to be a defective motor as suspected. Saved myself the headache of dealing with the calliper.
