Yaris fuel flap issue

I've got a 2017 Toyota Yaris diesel with a fuel flap issue. The release isn't working, and I'm getting an error. The flap is completely stuck, preventing me from refueling, and some other car functions are unavailable. I suspect it's the release mechanism. Has anyone experienced this?

I had something similar on my Yaris. Check the electric actuator; that's often the culprit. Is the key fob release making any noise at all?

No noise at all from the key fob. Where is the electric actuator located? Is it easy to access to check it myself?

Yep, same here, no noise at all when it happened to me. I'd recommend getting it checked at a workshop. From what you are saying, it seems like the same issue I had.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the shop, and you were right. Defective linkage. Repair cost me 210€. All sorted now.
