Yaris Fuel Level Sensor Fault

I'm having a fuel level sensor fault with my 2015 Toyota Yaris diesel. It has 190989 km. The check engine light comes on and off, it sometimes stalls at idle, and the error code is for the fuel level sensor circuit. I checked the fuses, but the manual doesn't say which one is for the fuel level sensor. Could a bad fuse cause this, or should I look at other things?

I had a similar issue with my Yaris. Check engine light and all. It was a real pain. Did you actually pull the fuel pump and check the sensor itself, or just poke around at the fuse box? What error code are you pulling?

I haven't checked the fuel pump or sensor yet. I only looked at the fuse box using the manual. I know I need to check the fuel tank and sensor. The error code is P0461, which is 'Fuel Level Sensor 'A' Circuit Range/Performance'. Is that what you had?

Yep, P0461 sounds very familiar. I messed with it for a bit, but honestly, I'd just take it to a workshop. Dealing with the fuel tank is a pain, and you don't want to mess anything up and make it worse. Could be the sensor, could be wiring, could be gremlins. Let a pro sort it.

I took it to a workshop like you said. They said it was a bad fuel level sensor. They replaced it and cleared the code. It cost 52€ for everything. Thanks again.
